Foreign countries own more than 300 sets of seamless steel tube hot rolling unit, which annual production capacity can reach more than 30 million tons. Among them, there are about 45 sets of continuous tube rolling mills which annual production capacity can reach more than 17 million tons, approximately 57% of total production capacity, about 15 sets were newly built in 21 century. There are original automatic pipe rolling mill more than 70 sets, nearly 20 years, most of which have been discontinued or modified. There are more than 60 sets of extrusion pipe units, most of which are horizontal hydraulic extrusion pipe units, which annual production capacity can reach more than 1 million tons, for the production of some special purpose steel tube.
It is reported that, at present, the world first ten stainless steel seamless tube producing countries are China, Japan, the United States, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Italy, Britain, France and Argentina. Among them, China, the United States, Russia’s products are mainly domestic consumption. Britain, France import and export are roughly equivalent. Due to the imbalance of the development of vocational, professional seamless steel pipe in the world within the scope of existing product structural problem, some special use of high added value and high technology content of special pipe, such as large caliber seamless steel pipe and so on, the supply is serious, the price is high.
Stainless steel seamless pipe is a kind of long rolled steel products, which have hollow section, and the peripheral have no seam. The thicker the wall thickness of the product, the more economical and practical it is, the thinner the wall thickness, the higher the processing cost will be. The process of the producs determines its performance limitations: non-uniform wall thickness, pipe inside and outside surface of low brightness, feet high cost, and within the appearance of pitting and black spots is not easy to remove.
