Internally Heated Hot-Runner Nozzles

A new source of internally heated hot-runner nozzles that eliminate the risk of external heater-wire damage is Melt Design Inc., St. Charles, Ill. The nozzles use a ceramic-insulated resistance wire that is compacted to nearly its theoretical limit for the highest heat transfer and longer heater life. Other features include a removable thermocouple located close to the tip.
