Third RosMould Fair Breaks Records

The third international RosMould exhibition, which took place June 17–19 at the Crocus Expo exhibition centre in Moscow, Russia, and was organized by the international exhibition company Expo-mold Ltd., bested the performance records set by the previous edition. RosMould 2008, the exhibition for moulds, die moulds, and stamps, showcased 243 exhibitors and drew 4,500 specialist visitors from Russia and other countries.

RosMould is the only trade fair in Russia dedicated to the design, production, and operation of forms, moulds, and dies and to processing technologies that use these tools. Supporting Expo-Mold in the organization this year were the National Association of Automotive Component Manufacturers (NAACM), the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia, the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and industry media organs.

Expo-Mold’s 2008 exhibition audit showed that the 243 exhibitors had displays that covered in excess of 6,500 m² (as compared with 4,600 m² in 2007). Slightly over 50% of them were from Russia, with the rest coming from 23 other countries of the world. Germany, Italy, China, Portugal, Taiwan, Turkey, Finland, and France had collective stands. The largest special exposition was presented by the Euromold exhibition, which had a featured pavilion.

According to electronic registration data, 93% of the exhibition visitors were Russian and the rest foreign. A questionnaire distributed to the exhibitors revealed that 86.5% were very satisfied with the number of visitors and their professional competence level. Some 92% of exhibitors expressed willingness to take part in RosMould 2009, scheduled for June 3–5, 2009, at the Crocus Expo.

As has become tradition, the International Tool Summit took place during the exhibition. The 2008 summit was dedicated to the theme of “new technologies, equipment, means, and methods for effective organization of production in the Russian market for shape-generating tooling.” Three summit conference sessions featured the participation of 108 specialists from 15 Russian regions. Of the 24 speakers who gave reports, some were from abroad, hailing from such countries as China, Japan, Portugal, Poland, and Sweden.
